The Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light is the perfect crib to take with you on trips. It can be set up in record time, in one easy movement. It weighs only 11 lbs.(5 kgs.) and is light and easy to carry in its carrying case. Soft fabric makes it snug and cozy for your child. Both the mattress cover and the bed fabric can be machine-washed. The mattress cover and all fabric parts that come into contact with your child have been approved in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, class 1, eco-certification. You can use the Travel Crib Light for newborns and up until your child is about three years old.

Pros: 1)easy to set up. It literally unfolds and it’s ready for use. Make sure the legs are snapped into place. 2)Great carrying case; 3)simple design/no busy fabric like most of the pack and plays.
Cons: 1)sleeping surface is very low to the floor. My 6-month-old daughter is a great crib sleeper, but she doesn’t like pack and plays and porta cribs since the sleeping surface is so low to the ground. But unless you co-sleep, there are really no options for travel cribs other than these play yard type things where the sleeping surface is so low. it was like our daughter was an animal in a cage at a pet store. She was miserable. We had to let her fall asleep in our arms or on the bed and then put her down in the travel crib when she was already asleep. I don’t understand why no on ehas come up with a better option. The bassinet attachment on play yards are great but they are only good until the baby is 15lbs. I wish there was a way to progressively lower the bassinets in play yards just as you do a crib mattress. We travel once a month with the baby so it looks like we will have to get used to this.

Although the mattress doesn’t provide the appropiate cushioned support, it is the ideal travel crib to buy. It can be solved by using a good thick blanket.

This product is a joy to travel with. We used the Pack and Play from Graco a few times and looking back that thing is a huge, heavy plastic piece of junk.
Our baby sleeps better in the Baby Bjorn, it is easier to assemble (great for quick naps on the go) and our child absolutely loves it.
You can literally set this thing up in 2 minutes or less where the Pack N Play takes a while longer and requires a lot more assembling and back bending.
Traveling with the Baby Bjorn is also great as it’s light and small. It fits easily in a trunk and can be checked on a plane or placed in an overhead bin if you want to use it in an airport at the Gate.

Very easy to open and close. It is very light weight which is good and bad. My 1 year old can push it around the Living Room. I keep my newborn in it to protect him from the older one when he is sleeping. It doesn’t come with a fitted sheet which is a bummer, especially when it cost $250.
It is very small and light weight so I would only recommend it for kids under the age of 1. Small and light enough to travel with which is the other reason we bought it.

Very sturdy crib, light, easy to set up. It takes some practice to fold it up in a manner that allows you to effectively shove it back into the case though. And, it’s quite a bit larger than I’d expected, definitely NOT brief-case size. I am fairly certain it would not fit current airline regulations for a carry-on. I do like that there is no bar in the middle like the pack-n-play, and the mattress is very soft. Also, a standard crib sheet fits great on the mattress, so we didn’t have to purchase any extra sheets either.
My daughter does not mind sleeping in it, but she’s always been more sensitive to noise and light than where she sleeps physically. I’m debating whether or not to bring it wtih me when I travel across the country, because it will count as a piece of luggage. Overall though, it’s a good crib, just expensive. I think the pack-n-play is better for if you have a very young child (under 4 months) because of the bassinet feature, but for an older child, this is better.
