Revolutionary Swiveling Front Wheel
The Revolution is designed to strike a balance between a walking and jogging stroller. The Revolution lets you get around the house, the neighborhood, or the market with ease thanks to an innovative wheel design that expertly handles corners, making pushing the stroller as quick and straightforward as steering a bike. The 12-inch swiveling front wheel features a ball-bearing headset, proven technology that ensures durability, reliability, and solid performance.

Additionally, the shock absorbers minimize the impact of uneven pavement or bumps on both urban streets and woodsy trails, which means you can introduce baby to the “off-road” world without sacrificing his comfort or safety. You can also lock the forward wheel for maximum stability for running and straight-ahead walking. Finally, the state-of-the-art suspension system provides for an exceptionally smooth ride.

Safe, Durable Construction
The Revolution has a tough, welded frame made of high strength aluminum alloy and durable, stain-resistant fabric that wipes clean. Ultra-padded seats recline up to 70 degrees (from vertical) and offer two seat pockets and a large seat back pocket for additional storage of toys and snacks. For added convenience and comfort, you can adjust the shock absorbers for big or small kids.

User-Friendly Design
The Revolution boasts a fast, two-step fold-up design for true stow-and-go portability. A foot-activated parking brake keeps things simple, while the five point safety harness with sternum strap ensures a secure, but not overly restrictive, strapped-in fit. This harness also meets ASTM safety standards, is padded for comfort, and is sewn into the seat fabric and connected to the frame for added safety. The padded shoulder harness offers additional comfort, and adjusts easily thanks to the red plastic pull rings.

The Revolution measures 38.8 x 19.0 inches (WxH) when folded with the wheels on and weighs 32 pounds. It is recommended for children who are at least eight weeks old. Please note that babies incapable of holding their head up must have additional head and neck support to ride safely and comfortably. For jogging or off-road stroller use, children should be at least eight months old.

  • If you live in Kansas, where there are no hills, buy the Bob Revolution. It’s excellent for flatlanders.

If you live in an area with any terrain, the Bob is nothing but an exercise in frustration, as it has no brakes! Don’t let the product feature “dual real brakes” fool you – that’s just the parking/safety latch, not an actual brake.

  • I bought this stroller on sale at REI and I’m still debating if I’m going to keep it or return it.

It’s a ton of money for a stroller. Do I need a bike lock if I have to leave it outside of a store? Do they sell stroller insurance? The thing makes me a little nervous. I also just feel a little obnoxious walking around town with a $500 stroller!

I had a used Schwinn double jogger with fixed front wheel that worked great for awhile. I loved the way it bounced right over curbs. I don’t run but I walk around town a lot. Even with fixed front wheel it was easy to turn. The problem with the Schwinn is the internal metal frame in the seat design. My daughter just started refusing to ride in the stroller because the metal bar hit her back. Then the bar broke through the fabric on the bottom side and started slipping down even further. I liked the stroller so much that I would buy another if the seat designed were changed. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it has. Which is a little unbelievable to me- as it’s just such a bad design.

I bought the BOB because it has such good reviews. I actually thought the Schwinn folded down easier and was easier to move around. Which is important to me as I don’t have a big suburban garage to store the thing in and because it’s so darn expensive I don’t feel comfortable leaving it on the front porch.

The shocks and the swivel wheel are nice but I think the big fixed wheel handles curbs better for walking around cities.

The shocks keep making a strange clicking noise and I’m not sure what the problem is.

The seats are much better than the Schwinn. It sets up better, the Schwinn has a permanent recline that the kids weren’t crazy. The sun shade is great, comes way down to really keep the sun out. Important for my daughter who is sensitive to sun in her eyes.

The underneath storage is hard to utilize and not very roomy.

I think there must be something that would be as good for about half the price but with so little out to look at and touch I’m afraid of making the same seat mistake…

Should I keep the BOB or return it? I still haven’t decided.

  • We love this stroller! It is big, but if feels so light weight to push around. It is easy to fold up and open. It fits through all the doorways we’ve tried so far. We love the front swivel wheel. We have used it in the fixed position for jogging and ’swivel’ position for everyday walking. The swivel wheel is so nice and makes going on walks so pleasant. We also bought the infant car seat adaptor. It works perfectly with our Graco Safe Seat infant car seat. The Bob company now includes a styrofoam piece that helps to stabilize infant car seats. So many others have commented on how lose the car seats are when placed on the infant bar adaptor. That is no longer a problem with the extra piece included with the stroller. I have recommended this stroller to all my friends.

  • We recently bought this stroller for our 9 month old twins. We shopped around and spent the better part of a day at two different baby-gear stores testing out the floor models. This is definitely the CADILLAC of strollers. The price is high – but VERY worth it. The quality alone when cmpared to similar designs (baby trend double jogging for example) is almost beyond reproach. The kids have separate areas with a strong divider, yet they are still able to see/hear each other. I totally agre with the previous comments about the absence of a locking mechanism and drink holder. We purchased “lionheart” cup holder attachment for around $7. The canopies are freaking awesome! You could take the kids out in the rain and they would stay dry. I drive an Acura TL and the stroller fits in the trunk after removing the 2 big wheels – it is not necessary to rmove the front wheel. All around excellent stroller.

  • I owned the single Bob Revolution stroller for 3 years, when I had my second child- I sold the single and bought the double because no other stroller compares. Seriously!! I have other stollers (Graco, MacClaren, Peg Perago), but this is my favorite. No stoller maneuvers or is as comfortable as the BOB. The only two major cons are: 1. Price- they are expensive. However, they are so far superior- I think the cost is worth it. And, you can easily sell the stollers for a lot after you are finished with them. 2. They are big and tricky to get in and out of a trunk. I have a Prius- so it’s a small trunk. The stoller fits, but I have to take two of the wheels off and finagle it in. I’m a small 115 pound girl- so it’s a bit heavy, but if I can do- most people could. It does take about 2 extra minutes- but for the joy of pushing this stroller, I don’t mind. Plus, being a small girl- and being able to push both my kids easily in the stoller is a huge benefit for me. You don’t even realize you are pushing that much weight.

This stroller is very comfortable for the kids- the canopies are huge, independent and really provide a lot of shade (we live in Arizona). The seats recline back nicely (and independently) for napping. The fabric is strong and cleans well. It never faded or ripped in the harsh Arizona weather and it just wipes clean. The shocks make the ride smooth and comfortable. The double does fit through most commercial doors- it is the same width as a wheel chair- so it fits through all commercial doors- barely. I don’t think the car seat holder is necessary ($80). Both my kids fit comfortably in the stollers by the time they were 2-3 months old (with a car seat positioner/cushion in there- easily found for about $15 at any store). Also, Graco makes a double stroller rain cover for about $15 that fits this stroller too instead of the BOB $60 version. Pay up for the stroller, but the BOB accessories are not worth the expense.
