We installed this car seat in the back of our range rover sport for our rear facing infant using latch. We have always had Britax seats; the installation and safety is superior, but we were looking for something more compact so an adult could ride in the back with two car seats. This seat moved more than 70 degrees in almost every angle. A side impact accident would have lurched the forward causing it to tip upside-down. VERY DANGEROUS in our model car / suv…

My baby isn’t here yet my EDD is 6-5-09 but i really love the car seat so far. I can’t wait to use it! It is really cute and I had no problems installing it in my vehicle (suburban).

I purchased this seat after much deliberation over what convertible seat would work the best rear facing in my husband’s Toyota Tacoma extra cab. I thought this seat was the answer because it is compact and I thought the carrot cake color was cute. The color is not as pretty as it is pictured. I thought it would be a sherbet color but it is a very obnoxious orange color.
Also, and more importantly, though we were advised by a professional to get this seat, and though we had it professionally installed, the seat did not fit properly in the back seat. It moves A LOT from side to side, (at least 60 to 70 degree angle (very dangerous) and the seat belts would tighten and lock, causing the seat to go almost vertical toward the back of the cab. There is no LATCH option in this model truck.
I understand that the problems I experienced might just have to do with the idiosyncrasies of the truck, but this seat was not safe as it was installed in this vehicle and I’ll be taking it back.

I ended up returning this for the cherry pie color. The colors on amazon are way off from the real thing. See the Combi website for better colors. The blue was a powder blue rather than the sort of muted light blue in Amazon. The Cherry pie on Amazon looks brown, but in reality is a nice, deep red.I love the seat. I got it to travel with. Haven’t flown with it yet, but didn’t want to lug around the big Britax.
